[Unit Project 2] How to make the cookies

 How to make the cookies

Cookies are very popular and reasonable sweets. I like it since I was a child because my grandmother and my mother often make it for me! My grandmother is a teacher of cooking, so she made delicious foods for me. And, I often cook something with her, it is very fun and happy. The first sweets I made with my grandmother was cookies! The cookies are simple, but very taster.

My grandmother had made many kinds of cookies, such as icing cookies and ones needless cutting out. Through these experiences I began to want to make large quantities of cookies at a time. To achieve this, I came up with a no-fuss cookie recipe. This is the recipe I liked best after trying many different recipes!

Tools

・Mixing bowl

・Plastic wrap

・Whisk

・Rubber spatula

・Sieve

・Knife

・Parchment paper

・Plate

・Baking sheet

Ingredients (This recipe yields about 30 cookies)

・Cake flour            140g

・Almond powder   20g

・One egg

・Sliced almond      10g

・Granulated sugar    50g

・Vanilla extract         3 drops

・Unsalted butter     100g

・Cocoa powder      10g

Procedures

1. First, sift the flour and the almond powder using the sieve.  And, chop the sliced almond. While these preparations are being made, bring the butter to room temperature.

2. Once the butter is soft, place it in a bowl. And,beat the butter with the whisk, add the sugar, and beat until the mixture turns white.

3. Next, crack the egg and separate the whites from the yolk. And then, add the egg yolk and the vanilla extract into the same bowl, and mixed them well.

4. Add the sifted flour and almond powder to the bowl from 3, and mix with the rubber spatula. When it starts to come together a little, add the cocoa powder and the sliced almond. Then, mix thoroughly until it forms a single mass.

5. Once the dough is well combined, wrap it in plastic wrap. And then, shape into a stick about 3 cm in diameter. Refrigerate the bars made in step 5 for 1 to 2 hours.

6. Remove the dough from the fridge and cut it into 5 mm thick pieces. They are then arranged on the baking sheet lined with the parchment paper.

7. Bake in a preheated oven at 170  for 15 minutes.

8. Finally, cool the baked cookies and place them on a plate!

Making the cookies is not so difficult, so I want you to try it! It is the best recipe for beginner who make sweets first time. This time I made cocoa cookies, but you can use strawberry powder or matcha powder instead of cocoa powder to make different flavor cookies!

The main advantage of this recipe is that it easily makes large quantities of cookies. But not only that, if you make the dough and store it in the refrigerator, you can simply bake the cookies whenever you feel like eating them. Please give these cookies to many family members and friends! They will surely be delighted!

[Unit Project 1] A spoon that brings happiness?

[Unit Project 1] A spoon that brings happiness?                 My artifact is a spoon. The length of it is approximately 15 cm. It is made in Japan and made of steel. It was made by a company called Kaijirushi. The company is well known for manufacturing cutlery and other metal products. The spoon was given by my parents. I have used it since I was kindergarten age. I use it for many years, so it has many scratches. And, maybe it has patterns or pictures but it is disappeared now.   Also, it has my name engraved on back of it. The color of the spoon is pale yellow like a butter, but the name is light pink.   My parents gave me the spoon as a gift and from that moment on became a special thing for me. And, I have a lot of memories of this spoon as I have been using it since I was a child. However, they are not only pleasant memories but also bitter ones.   The happening occurred when I was a kindergarten student.

Winter sports

Hi, thank you for coming to my blog!  Snow is piling up in the mountains and we are starting to see the winter landscape. I would like to share with you some of the things I would like to do this winter!  I like snowboarding the best among winter sports. I started snowboarding because my parents were good at it. I first snowboarded when I was in elementary school. I was very scared at first because until then I had only done sledding down hills.   Snowboarding was very difficult because both feet are fixed to one board, so it was hard to move my feet as I wanted. However, my parents taught me how to move my body. I didn't get good at it on the first day, but as I went to the ski resort many times to practice, I got better and better at it. snowboading  Now I can turn left and right! It's a lot of fun! Last year I was too busy studying for the university entrance exam and could not snowboard even once. That is why I want to go snowboarding a lot thi

Hot sweets

Hi, thank you for coming to my blog!  On Friday, I ate Taiyaki! I had one with chocolate chips and custard cream! I love chocolate, so I always choose the chocolate flavor. It was very tasty and filled with cream. Also, the surface of the Taiyaki had sesame seeds and smelled so good! There were so many other flavors that I would like to try again if I had the chance!  With the recent cold weather, I have developed a preference for hot food. The taiyaki I had this time was warm and perfect for a cold day. On cold days, it is good to warm up with hot drinks and food.  I hope you all keep yourselves warm with warm food!  Thank you for reading!
